Welcome to my portfolio! I created these works over the last 20 years. I am a self-taught artist. I have taken a class or two over the years in charcoal drawing which has helped with learning proper light and shadow. I feel this has helped my art tremendously even though I prefer acrylic as my medium of choice.
I highly recommend taking a class in drawing, or several, especially as a painter.
I also recommend watching other artists. One of my favorite things to do as a child was to watch Bob Ross on PBS with my dad. While I definitely don't paint like Bob, it taught me to be able to draw inspiration from what others were doing and translate it into my own style. Claiming your own style is priceless.
